No smoking inside the house. If you smoke outside, do not leave garbage on the property
Fires permitted only at the campfire on the island. Do not leave fires unattended

Do not leave food out, it attracts critters
Please park in the upper parking lot. If more space is needed, you may park below the house, but do not drive under the porch or on the grass (the grassy area is over the leach field)
Please take out all garbage and recycling at the end of your stay and leave in the bins underneath the deck.
Clean up after your pets, especially around the house, yard, and the island.
Do not cut down trees
Be respectful of the neighbors and other pond visitors

The House

The house is our family camp as well as a rental property, so please respect it as if it were your own home. The main level of the house, the deck, and the top floor are available for use of our guests. The basement is off-limits to our guests unless there is a need to access the fuse box. If you need to access the fuse box, please contact the homeowners first. (This is the Adirondacks, sometimes the power goes out)
Kitchen

The kitchen is setup with basic cookware, utensils and silverware for your use. Basic spices and oil are also available. Feel free to use anything left by past guests and leave anything (in moderation) at the end of the stay for future guests to use. Please let us know if something is running low.
There is a gas grill on the porch available for you to use. Please turn off the gas when finished using. If you run out of gas, refills can be purchased at Aubuchon Hardware in Elizabethtown. Please call one of the homeowners if a replacement is needed
Please put away unused food in the refrigerator or in sealed containers.
Food draws critters.
Garbage should be placed in the bins under the porch, just past the gardens by the front of the house. We try and recycle, please put all recycling in the green bin next to the garbage can in the kitchen. Empty green bin into the green recycling bin under the porch before the end of your stay. All the trash and recycling should be taken out before leaving at the end of your stay. Please ensure the bins are closed tightly to prevent animals from getting in.
Laundry Room
The washer and dryer in the laundry room are available for guests to use. Swimming towels and extra linens are on the shelves next to the washer and dryer. Shower towels and basic toiletries are located in the main level bathroom.
Campfires
There is a campfire circle on the island. Head out the back door, off the family room. Follow the path around to the right and over the footbridge.
Please keep fires small. Campfire, not bonfire. Also, only burn wood and paper. No plastic or trash that isn’t paper. Doing so will eventually leach into the drinking water and attract animals.
Do not leave a fire unattended.
Firewood can be purchased from a few locals in the area(look for signs on the side of the road heading towards Elizabethtown), or in town.
If you don’t mind doing a little work, feel free to burn any wood already on the ground or on the hiking trails. Do not cut down a tree.

You are also welcome to camp out on the island.
